Michel Laforge - PresidentMike is a PhD student in the Wildlife Evolutionary Ecology Lab at Memorial University. A passion for exploration and the outdoors has led him to a career in wildlife research. His current research focuses on migration timing and habitat selection of caribou with respect to forage acquisition. His previous wildlife work has involved studies on deer, moose, polar bears and wild boar.

Travis Heckford - President ElectTravis is a Ph.D. student at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where he is researching the ecological stoichiometric relationship of a plant-snowshoe hare-canada lynx food web. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology and geography and a GIS diploma at Vancouver Island University and has worked on several species at risk projects with the BC Ministry of Environment. As an amateur naturalist he enjoys birding, learning about local ecology, and participating in outdoor events. He is passionate about wildlife conservation and is excited to serve on the executive for the Newfoundland and Labrador chapter.

Maegwin Bonar - Secretary TreasurerMaegwin is a MS.c. candidate at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she is researching the fitness consequences of seasonal aggregation by female caribou on calving grounds. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at University of Winnipeg where she co-founded the University of Winnipeg Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society. Maegwin is passionate about public outreach and wildlife conservation and is excited to serve on the executive of the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter.

Keith Lewis - Member at LargeKeith Lewis is currently working with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans with a focus on the relationships between sea ice, plankton, and capelin. His previous work has primarily focused on avian and caribou ecology in Newfoundland and Labrador. He received his BS degree from University of California at Davis, his MS and PhD from Memorial University of Newfoundland and did his postdoctoral work there as well. He has taught a number of Biology courses at Memorial University.

Rachel Wigle - Graduate RepRachel is an MSc student at Memorial university of Newfoundland where she is researching the ecology of arboreal lichen communities and the landscape vectors that structure them. She completed her undergraduate degree in wildlife biology and conservation at the University of Guelph. She is eager to meet like-minded individuals and make connections through wildlife conservation and management issues in this province.

Maria Dobbin - Undergraduate RepMaria is an undergraduate student studying conservation biology and ecology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is currently completing her honours degree in the Wildlife Evolutionary Ecology lab. Maria is excited to promote and learn more about wildlife conservation in Newfoundland and Labrador.
